Pontiac Street between Kenilworth Avenue and Cunningham Drive will be closed during the two-hour event.

Southbound buses heading toward Deanwood will take the reverse path, detouring on Cherrywood Lane at Greenbelt Road and resuming regular service on Westchester Park Drive. The detour affects only the P14 Kenilworth Avenue route in both directions. No other WMATA bus routes will be impacted by the street closure.

Service Returns to Normal After 1:00pm

Regular P14 service will resume after 1:00pm on Saturday, May 2, once the parade and festival conclude and street closures are lifted. Transit officials said the two-hour detour window allows sufficient time for the community event while limiting the impact on weekend bus service.
