WMATA is opening a new northbound bus stop on Salisbury Drive, 41 feet north of Indian Head Highway, on Wednesday, September 10. The stop, designated as Stop ID #3004579, will serve routes C11 and P97 following completion of ADA accessibility pad construction.

ADA Compliance Drives Stop Addition

The new stop is part of WMATA's ongoing efforts to provide accessible public transportation throughout its service area, transit officials said. Federal ADA requirements mandate that transit agencies ensure bus stops are accessible to riders with disabilities, including those using wheelchairs or mobility devices. The completed accessibility pad construction meets these standards, providing a level boarding area for all passengers.
