South Florida Unites Four Transit Systems in One App
SoFloGO app integrates Broward, Miami-Dade, Palm Tran, and Tri-Rail transit systems
SoFloGO App Unites Four Transit Systems
South Florida riders can now plan trips across four transit systems using a single mobile app, transit officials said. Broward County Transit introduced the SoFloGO app, which integrates Broward County Transit, Miami-Dade Transit, Palm Tran, and Tri-Rail into one platform. The app's available for download on both the App Store and Google Play for iOS and Android devices.

Regional Integration Simplifies Cross-County Travel
The unified platform addresses a longstanding challenge for South Florida commuters who previously needed separate apps to navigate different county transit systems. Transit agencies across the region have worked to improve connectivity between their services, and the SoFloGO app represents a significant step toward seamless regional travel. The app serves as an additional option rather than a replacement for existing agency apps, officials said. Current BCT Mobile app users can continue using that platform if they prefer.
Real-Time Tracking and Mobile Fare Payment
The app lets riders plan trips across county lines, track buses and trains in real-time, receive service alerts, and get step-by-step directions. Users can pay fares directly from their phones, with fare products including regular fares, daily, weekly, and monthly passes, plus reduced fares for seniors, students, and riders with disabilities. The app supports multiple wallets and allows users to register with the same email used for other transit apps. Each app maintains its own separate wallet, and fare products purchased through one app can't be transferred to the other, officials said.

Internet Required for Purchases, Offline Display Available
An internet connection's required to purchase or activate fare products through the app, though activated tickets can be displayed offline once purchased. This allows riders to show proof of payment even in areas with limited connectivity. Officials didn't specify whether future updates will expand offline functionality or add additional transit systems to the platform.
Technical Support and Rider Resources
Riders experiencing technical issues with the app should contact the South Florida Regional Transportation Authority, while fare or service-specific questions should be directed to the respective transit agency's customer service. The integration aims to make regional transit more accessible for daily commuters and occasional riders navigating South Florida's multi-county transit network. Moovit provides real-time updates and trip planning for South Florida transit routes, helping riders stay informed about service changes and delays.
