South Florida Unifies Four Transit Systems in One App
New SoFloGO app integrates four South Florida transit systems for unified trip planning and mobile fare payment
South Florida Launches SoFloGO Transit App
South Florida riders can now plan trips across four transit systems using a single mobile app. Broward County Transit launched SoFloGO, a regional platform that integrates BCT, Miami-Dade Transit, Palm Tran, and Tri-Rail services, transit officials said. The app lets riders track vehicles in real-time, pay fares from their phones, and receive service alerts across county lines.

Regional Integration Simplifies Multi-County Travel
The unified platform addresses a longstanding challenge for South Florida commuters who previously needed separate apps for each transit system. Transit agencies said the integration makes cross-county travel more accessible by consolidating trip planning, real-time tracking, and fare payment into one interface. The South Florida Regional Transportation Authority coordinated the regional effort to streamline the rider experience. Officials said the app provides step-by-step directions that can span multiple transit systems in a single journey.
App Features Mobile Ticketing and Multiple Fare Options
SoFloGO supports mobile fare payment with options including single rides, daily passes, weekly passes, and monthly passes, according to transit officials. The app offers reduced fares for seniors, students, and riders with disabilities. Each transit system maintains its own separate wallet within the app, and fare products purchased for one system can't be transferred to another. An internet connection is required to purchase or activate tickets, though activated fares can be displayed offline for boarding.

Existing BCT App Remains Available
Current BCT Mobile app users can continue using that platform, as SoFloGO serves as an additional option rather than a replacement, officials said. The new app supports multiple wallets and allows riders to register using the same email address they use for other transit apps. SoFloGO is available for download on both the App Store and Google Play for iOS and Android devices. Officials didn't specify whether the BCT Mobile app will eventually be phased out.
Riders Can Access Support Through Multiple Channels
Technical issues with the SoFloGO app should be directed to the South Florida Regional Transportation Authority, while fare or service-specific questions should go to the respective transit agency's customer service, officials said. The unified platform is expected to reduce confusion for riders traveling across South Florida's multi-county transit network. Moovit provides real-time updates and trip planning for BCT, Miami-Dade Transit, Palm Tran, and Tri-Rail routes throughout the region.
