Muni Adds 78X Arena Express for Chase Center Events
San Francisco's Muni will run supplemental 78X Arena Express service this weekend to connect riders with three major Chase Center events, transit officials said. The special bus service links 16th Street BART Station directly to the arena for a Warriors game Friday, March 13, a Ricardo Arjona concert Saturday, March 14, and a Nine Inch Nails concert Sunday, March 15. The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency released its weekly transit advisory Thursday, March 12, outlining the enhanced service and related traffic impacts.

Street Closures and Parking Rates During Arena Events
Street closures will take effect near Chase Center two hours before each event and remain in place until one hour after, according to the SFMTA. Affected streets include 16th Street and Warriors Way between 3rd Street and Terry Francois Boulevard. Special event parking rates of $12 per hour will be enforced near the arena during events expecting more than 10,000 attendees. The agency said the closures and parking measures help manage traffic flow and encourage transit use for large gatherings.
St. Patrick's Day Parade Affects Multiple Muni Lines
The annual St. Patrick's Day Parade will disrupt several Muni routes Saturday, March 14, starting as early as 9 a.m., officials said. The parade runs along Market Street from 11 a.m. until approximately 4 p.m. Affected service includes the F Market & Wharves line and multiple numbered routes. The SFMTA advised riders to expect delays and plan alternative routes during the parade hours. Officials said real-time service updates will be available throughout the day as conditions change.

Major US-101 Lane Closures Through Monday
Caltrans will close two lanes in each direction on US-101 between Candlestick Park and Silver Avenue from Friday, March 13 through Monday, March 16, officials confirmed. The weekend closure represents one of several ongoing construction projects affecting the San Francisco area. Nightly ramp closures continue at the Hairball interchange from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. The Transbay Howard Streetscape Project will cause intermittent delays and lane closures on Howard Street between The Embarcadero and 4th Street through 2028.
Planning Your Trip During Busy Week
Riders should expect heavier than usual traffic throughout the San Francisco area this week due to the combination of major events and construction projects, transit officials said. The SFMTA recommended allowing extra travel time and considering transit options instead of driving. Moovit provides real-time updates for Muni routes and helps riders plan trips around service changes and delays.
