MTA Adds Express Shuttles for Orioles Weekday Games
Baltimore transit riders heading to weekday Orioles games will have extra service options during the team's series against the Rangers. The Maryland Transit Administration announced supplemental Express Shuttle Buses will run starting at 4:30 PM on Monday and Tuesday, and 10:30 AM on Wednesday, connecting Glen Burnie/Cromwell and Timonium Fairgrounds directly to Camden Station. The enhanced service affects multiple routes including CityLink YELLOW, NAVY, and BROWN lines, Light RailLink, Metro SubwayLink, and Local Bus routes 94, 76, 73, 51, and 54.
Background
Transit agencies typically add supplemental service during major sporting events to accommodate increased ridership and reduce congestion around stadiums. The MTA's alert covers all transit modes serving Camden Yards, where the Orioles play home games. Light Rail will operate all available trains on a regular weekday schedule to handle the expected crowds. Officials said fare payment is required on all transit modes, and riders are encouraged to use the CharmPass app for payment. Free parking is available at seven Metro stations including Owings Mills, Old Court, Milford Mill, Reisterstown Plaza, Rogers Ave, West Cold Spring, and Mondawmin.

Service Details
The Express Shuttle Buses will provide direct service from two locations to Camden Station, bypassing regular stops for faster travel times. After games end, regular Light Rail trains will operate from Camden Yards, but riders who used Express Shuttle Buses must board at the Convention Center Light Rail stop instead. Metro Subway riders should take trains to Charles Center station and use the West entrance/Charles Street escalator to reach street level, then continue on Baltimore Street toward Camden Yards. MARC Penn Line will operate on a regular weekday schedule, with passengers able to connect to Penn-Camden Light Rail southbound to Camden Station, with trains departing every 30 minutes.
Implementation Timeline
The supplemental Express Shuttle service begins at different times depending on game schedules. Monday and Tuesday shuttles start at 4:30 PM to accommodate evening games, while Wednesday service begins at 10:30 AM for a day game. Transit officials said ticket vending machines at stations accept both credit cards and cash. The alert was issued March 30, 2026, and covers the weekday series between the Orioles and Rangers.

Rider Impact
Baseball fans using transit will have multiple options to reach Camden Yards, with CityLinks Navy, Yellow, and Brown routes plus LocalLinks routes 51, 54, 73, 76, and 94 all serving areas near the stadium. The Express Shuttle Buses offer the most direct route from northern and southern park-and-ride locations. Riders should note the different post-game boarding location for shuttle buses at Convention Center rather than Camden Yards. Moovit provides real-time updates and trip planning for all MTA routes serving Camden Station and Camden Yards.
