Miami Transit Boosts Service for Corporate Run
Miami-Dade Transit adds Metromover service for Lexus Corporate Run with road closures from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Miami Metrorail Adds Service for Corporate Run
Miami-Dade Transit is adding enhanced Metromover service Thursday, April 23, as the Lexus Corporate Run brings thousands of participants to Downtown Miami and Brickell. Road closures from 1 p.m. through approximately 11 p.m. will create heavy traffic throughout the area, transit officials said. The agency's encouraging attendees to use Metrorail and Metromover to avoid congestion.

Event Creates All-Day Traffic Impact
The annual corporate run typically draws large crowds to Miami's urban core, requiring extensive street closures for participant safety. This year's event follows the same pattern, with closures beginning in early afternoon and extending into late evening. Transit agencies often boost service for major downtown events to provide alternatives to driving. Miami-Dade Transit's coordinating Metrorail and Metromover operations to handle expected ridership increases before and after the race.
Free Metromover Service Enhanced
Metromover will operate all three loops—Inner, Omni, and Brickell—with enhanced service from 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., and the system remains free to ride. Recommended stations for race access include First Street, College/Bayside, and Bayfront Park. Metrorail will run regular schedules from 5 a.m. to midnight with $2.25 fares per ride. Riders should exit at Government Center Station and transfer to Metromover for quick access to the race area. Several Metrobus routes will experience detours and delays due to road closures in Downtown and Brickell.

Service Runs Through Late Evening
The enhanced Metromover service will operate throughout the event day, with all three loops running until 10 p.m. to accommodate participants and spectators returning from the race. Metrorail's regular schedule extends to midnight, providing service well after road closures end around 11 p.m. Transit officials said riders should expect heavy volumes before and after the race.
Plan Trips in Advance
Passengers should allow extra travel time due to expected crowding on transit and event-related road closures affecting bus routes. Transit officials recommend planning trips in advance and arriving early to avoid delays.
