Metro Recruits Riders for Wall of Fame Campaign
Metro recruits riders 18+ for Wall of Fame campaign featuring real customers in ads
Metro Seeks Riders for Wall of Fame Campaign
Washington D.C.'s Metro is recruiting customers to star in a new public awareness campaign that'll showcase real riders across the transit system. The Wall of Fame initiative seeks Metro customers aged 18 and older to share their transit stories, officials said. Selected participants will appear on social media, digital platforms, and outdoor advertising throughout the region, with submissions due by Friday, April 17.

Campaign Highlights Daily Transit Users
The campaign aims to spotlight the millions of people who depend on Metro's services for their daily transportation needs. Sarah Meyer, Metro's Chief Customer Officer, said the initiative will feature riders who use Metro Bus, Rail, and Access services regularly. Public awareness campaigns like this typically help transit agencies connect with communities and demonstrate the system's role in regional mobility. The effort comes as Metro continues serving approximately four million people across Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia through its network of six rail lines, 98 stations, and 126 bus routes.
Submission Requirements and Timeline
Interested customers should submit their name, age, a recent photo, and a short video introduction by the April 17 deadline. Participants should also include details about their Metro riding experience, the lines they use, and neighborhoods they frequent. No acting or modeling experience is required, though participants must be comfortable being filmed or photographed. Officials said the campaign will feature authentic stories from everyday riders rather than professional talent.

Photo Shoot Scheduled for Spring
Selected individuals will need to be available for a photo shoot in late April or early May at a location in the DMV area, officials said. The agency didn't specify how many participants will be chosen or provide details about compensation for those selected. Metro said it'll contact chosen participants directly to coordinate scheduling and logistics for the production.
Rider Participation and Updates
The Wall of Fame campaign represents Metro's effort to put real customer experiences at the center of its public outreach. Riders who participate will help shape how the transit system communicates with current and potential customers across the region.
