LA Metro Mobilizes Regional Transit for World Cup
Metro launches direct bus service to LA Stadium for all eight World Cup matches
Metro Adds Direct Bus Service to World Cup Matches
Fans heading to FIFA World Cup matches at Los Angeles Stadium won't need to worry about finding parking. Metro's launching direct bus service from multiple locations across the Los Angeles area for all eight matches at the venue, transit officials said. The World Cup draw was completed in early December, and with most Group Stage teams now set, parking will be extremely limited at the stadium, making public transit the recommended option for attendees.

Regional Partnership Expands Service Coverage
Metro's collaborating with over 10 regional transit providers and charter bus companies to handle the massive transportation effort, according to the transit agency. Service will begin up to four hours before each match and continue for 90 minutes after matches end, giving fans time to arrive early and get home safely. All World Cup service will be accessible to fans of all abilities, officials said. The extended service window ensures fans can participate in pre-game festivities and post-match celebrations without transportation concerns.
Standard Fares Apply with Parking Options Available
Fares remain at regular Metro rates of $1.75 one-way and $3.50 round-trip, making it an affordable option compared to parking fees or ride-sharing costs. Parking reservations are now available at nine designated locations for fans who prefer to drive partway, transit officials said. Digital parking passes include fare for three people in addition to the parking spot, making it ideal for groups attending matches together. The combination offers convenience for those who want to drive to a nearby location before taking direct bus service to the stadium.

Rail Service Enhanced During Tournament Period
Metro will enhance rail service on key routes during the World Cup while maintaining regular service for daily commuters, according to the transit agency. The LAX/Metro Transit Center will provide easy access for international visitors arriving at Los Angeles International Airport with direct buses to the stadium. Officials said additional details about enhanced rail service will be released later, though specific routes and frequency increases weren't immediately available.
Transit Connects Fans to Festival and Fan Zones
Beyond stadium service, Metro will connect fans to the FIFA Fan Festival at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and 10 Fan Zone locations across LA County, allowing attendees to participate in celebrations throughout the region. The comprehensive transportation network ensures fans can experience World Cup festivities beyond just the matches while relying on affordable public transit.
