Boston Adds $95 Bus Service to World Cup Matches
World Cup fans heading to Gillette Stadium will have a new direct bus option from Logan Airport, Providence, and more than 20 hotels across the region. Boston World Cup officials announced Tuesday the Boston Stadium Express will offer round-trip shuttle service for $95, with capacity to transport up to 10,000 fans per match. Tickets went on sale Tuesday and require proof of same-day World Cup match tickets.

Service Complements Record-Breaking Train Demand
The new bus service follows overwhelming demand for MBTA commuter rail tickets to World Cup matches, with 17,450 tickets sold shortly after going on sale—nearly 11,000 in the first hour alone. The MBTA's World Cup trains cost $80 round-trip and are capped at 20,000 tickets per match day. Officials said the bus service is designed to complement the trains and reduce road congestion, as driving options will be severely limited with only prepaid parking allowed at the stadium.
Buses Run Three Hours Before Kickoff
The Boston Stadium Express will begin service three hours before each match kickoff, with return trips starting 30 minutes after matches end. The service operates from over 20 pickup locations, including Logan International Airport, Providence, and numerous hotels throughout the Boston area. Officials said the direct routes are designed to bypass expected traffic congestion and road closures around Foxborough. Specific pickup times for each location weren't immediately available.
Seven Matches Scheduled Through July
Seven World Cup matches are scheduled for Gillette Stadium in Foxborough between June 13 and July 9, with up to 2 million visitors expected in Massachusetts during the tournament. Officials are advising fans to plan ahead and consider alternatives to driving due to expected road closures and traffic restrictions around the venue. The combined bus and train services are expected to transport up to 30,000 fans per match day.

Planning Transit for Match Days
Fans attending World Cup matches can purchase bus tickets only with valid same-day match tickets, officials said. With driving options limited to prepaid parking and significant traffic restrictions expected, transit officials are encouraging fans to book shuttle or train service well in advance.
