BCT Unifies Trip Planning and Fare Payment
Broward County Transit consolidates trip planning, tracking, and mobile payments into one app
BCT Renames Mobile App to RideBCT
Broward County Transit riders can now plan trips, track buses in real time, and pay fares through a single app. The transit agency rebranded its BCT Mobile Ticketing App to RideBCT, consolidating features that previously required multiple platforms. The updated app supports Apple Pay and Google Pay for fare purchases and includes trip planning powered by Google integration.

Consolidation Simplifies Rider Experience
The rebranding reflects a broader trend among transit agencies to streamline digital services for riders. Transit systems nationwide have moved toward unified mobile platforms that combine real-time tracking, trip planning, and contactless payment in recent years. BCT's consolidation eliminates the need for riders to switch between separate apps for different functions. The agency said the change aims to make public transit more accessible and user-friendly for Broward County residents.
Real-Time Tracking Expands Across Platforms
BCT buses now provide real-time location information across multiple platforms beyond the renamed app. The tracking feature is available through the regional SoFloGO mobile app, which brings together Broward County Transit, Miami-Dade Transit, Palm Tran, and Tri-Rail into one platform. Transit officials said the expanded tracking capabilities give riders more flexibility in how they access bus arrival information. The MyRide Broward Website and App will retire effective Saturday, February 28, 2026.

Reduced Fare Registration Now Available
Eligible riders can now register for reduced fare passes through in-person visits to BCT locations. Registration is available at Broward Central Terminal, Lauderhill Transit Center, Northeast Transit Center, and Government Center West. Required documentation includes proof of age for seniors and youth fares, proof of disability for Medicare or disability fares, and college photo ID for college bus passes. Officials didn't specify whether online registration will become available in the future.
How Riders Can Stay Informed
Riders affected by the app transition should download RideBCT to continue accessing mobile ticketing and real-time tracking. The agency offers service updates through its eNewsletter, Transit Flash, which riders can sign up for to receive information about schedule changes and system news. Moovit provides real-time bus tracking and trip planning for BCT routes throughout Broward County.
