BCT Launches RideBCT App for Unified Transit Access
Broward County Transit consolidates trip planning, tracking, and fare payment into one app
BCT Renames Mobile App to RideBCT
Broward County Transit riders can now plan trips, track buses in real time, and pay fares through a single app. The transit agency rebranded its BCT Mobile Ticketing App to RideBCT, consolidating features that previously required multiple platforms. The update aims to simplify the rider experience by eliminating the need to switch between different apps for basic transit functions.

Integrated Features and Payment Options
RideBCT combines trip planning powered by Google integration with real-time bus tracking and mobile fare payment, transit officials said. The app supports Apple Pay and Google Pay for secure transactions. Riders can download RideBCT from the Apple App Store or Google Play. The consolidation reflects a broader trend among transit agencies to streamline digital services and reduce friction in the rider experience.
Real-Time Tracking Across Multiple Platforms
BCT buses now provide real-time location information across several platforms beyond the RideBCT app. The transit system's vehicles appear with live tracking on the regional SoFloGO app, which brings together Broward County Transit, Miami-Dade Transit, Palm Tran, and Tri-Rail into one platform. Officials said the multi-platform approach gives riders flexibility in how they access transit information, though specific ridership data for each platform wasn't available.
MyRide Broward to Retire in February 2026
The MyRide Broward website and app will retire Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026, transit officials confirmed. The retirement follows the launch of RideBCT and reflects the agency's shift toward consolidated digital services. Officials didn't specify whether MyRide Broward features will migrate to RideBCT or if riders should transition to the new app before the retirement date.

Reduced Fare Registration Requirements
Eligible riders must visit BCT locations in person to register for reduced fare passes in the RideBCT system. Registration is available at Broward Central Terminal, Lauderhill Transit Center, Northeast Transit Center, and Government Center West during specified hours. Required documentation includes proof of age for seniors and youth, proof of disability for Medicare or disability fares, and college photo ID for student passes. Riders can sign up for Transit Flash, BCT's email newsletter, for service updates. Moovit provides real-time BCT information and trip planning for riders throughout Broward County.
